Madison Buxton
Madison Buxton first became familiar with Aditi six years ago, when one of her favorite teachers, Marie Wiliquette, started teaching at the studio. “I also did trade work for Aditi for about nine months, so I know a lot about the studio and got to know Julie, other students, and the teachers,” she says. “Aditi has a special place in my heart.”
Because of her connection to Aditi, taking virtual classes during COVID-19 and Seattle’s Stay at Home Order was the anchor she needed, particularly during the first few months of the pandemic. “Aditi is my second home where I feel welcome and part of the community,” Madison says. “Even before COVID-19, the studio provided me with a sense of stability, support, and respite.” Her favorite classes to take are Slow Flow and Sunrise Flow, and she enjoys the Barre classes as well.
“Aditi has handled the current circumstances very well, and that really speaks to Julie’s leadership and compassion,” Madison says. “I’ve been to my share of yoga studios since starting my yoga practice in late 2013, and I haven’t found another studio quite like Aditi — they’re a place that is willing to continue to grow, and acknowledge the injustices that are so prevalent in our society.”
