Joey Harris


Joey has been a student of yoga since 2016. After becoming a mom to her first son in 2019, she was referred to Aditi's "Baby + Me" yoga class by a fellow mom in a new mom support group. She took classes from Julie, Janiece, and Suzette for six months and as a result, was inspired to complete Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training in the fall of 2019 and winter of 2020. Throughout the pandemic, Joey taught virtual and outdoor prenatal yoga until her second son was born in March 2022. Joey returned to her new home, Monday night prenatal yoga, in the fall of 2022.

You can expect a more nontraditional approach in Joey's class. Her playlists include oldies, acoustic hits, R&B, and familiar melodies to accompany a yoga flow that mimics a birth experience. A slow, intentional flow of stretches that builds (early labor) to core engagement, goddess squats (active labor) to build your stamina and strength to prepare for your baby's (or babies’!) birth, followed by savasana (post labor). Joey closes her practice with a celebration for the mamas in class who are in their final weeks of pregnancy. She enjoys the Aditi community so much and looks forward to being a part of your pregnancy journey!
