Julie graduated from Brenneke School of Massage in 2006 and immediately following became certified in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year taught by her mentor, Kate Jordan. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200hr- RYT with a Prenatal Certification and is the founder of Aditi Yoga and Bodywork.
Amber is an artist and yoga instructor who began teaching to answer the call to a path of service. She teaches with focus on breath and alignment to safely build strength, flexibility and integrity of the body while maintaining a sense of grounding calm.
Ela Compton is a Mindfulness Teacher-in-training with Mindfulness Northwest and has practiced meditation for more than 15 years. She’s an accomplished entrepreneur, holds a masters degree in fine arts and design, and is in love with her wonderful 3-year-old.
Amanda's motto around yoga is, at its essence, "take it off the mat." She firmly believes in yoga as an opportunity to look yourself in the eyes, see who and where you are, and learn something that you can apply – both to your physical and your spiritual/mental experience.
Darla began practicing yoga regularly in 2007 for exercise. It soon became much more than just a physical practice. It became a way of being in the world for her. Darla completed the 200 hour teacher training through 8 Limbs Yoga in 2013 and has been teaching yoga since 2014.
Dierdre brings 25 years of experience in health and wellness, including 12 years teaching yoga and therapeutic movement, to her classes. Here Deirdre supports “coming back home” to our best selves through breath, movement, a safe environment and irreverent humor.
Janiece’s love for yoga sparked in high school when she and her mom tried a yoga studio by their home. Immediately she fell in love with its calming and restoring nature, and carried her practice through college and into adulthood.
Jenny began practicing yoga 14 years ago looking for a physical challenge until she realized one day in pigeon pose, how much deeper this practice truly was. She became certified to teach in 2009, wanting to share the joy and meditation of these movements with all.
Jenny is an experienced, compassionate and skilled yoga teacher, offering Hatha, Vinyasa, Pre/Postnatal classes, and workshops at Aditi; weaving guided meditation, pranayama and yoga philosophy into each class.
Since beginning her practice in 2004, Jessica has developed a deep respect for Yoga as a powerful life tool which strengthens not only the mind and body, but our connection to the miracle of the world around us as well. Recognizing the profound effects of the practice on her own life, she traveled to Goa, India to complete her 200 hour RTY in April of 2012.
Karyn found yoga 15 years ago at the gym, and soon met a teacher who cracked the door open to deeper aspects of the practices through pranayama. Karyn became a certified yoga teacher in 2016 through Synergy Yoga School in Seattle, and offers teachings to align body and mind through the heart.
Maria Williquette has long been involved in the yoga community of Seattle, with teaching as her primary emphasis since 2009 and she is excited to be teaching at Aditi. While traveling, Maria has studied yoga in places as diverse as Argentina, South Africa, India, and Nepal. Maria has completed two 200 hr yoga teacher trainings and specializes in using yoga as a therapeutic and healing modality.
Richelle has been immersed in the work of the body for 22+ years, from sports medicine to the sciences of therapeutic and clinical massage, energy work, bio-mechanics, nutrition, and yoga. Her classes incorporate some slow flowing transitions, but her focus is on building finite awareness from within, building strength slowly over time and finding the alignment that is perfect for each individual body.
Sally has been teaching yoga full time for nearly 15 years, and is proud to have been among the very first teachers at Aditi. She received certification from both 8 Limbs Yoga and The Samarya Center, where she also trained in Integrated Movement Therapy.
Sally teaches mindful, fluid, alignment based yoga linking breath with movement. Teaching with compassion, acceptance, and humor, she encourages students to honor their own body and own experience, while cultivating inner awareness.
Suzette has been a yoga practitioner in Seattle for over 20 years. Shaped by her initial training in the Viniyoga tradition, Suzette’s hatha teaching style takes a more gentle and therapeutic approach. Although she enjoys teaching all levels, her primary love is working with Prenatal and Postnatal Women.
Suzanne is a compassionate and dedicated teacher and student of yoga who cultivates a deep respect and love for the planet, its people and all living beings. After practicing asana for many years, she decided to dive deeper into the teachings of yoga and its sister science, Ayurveda, and completed her 200-hour training through Synergy Yoga School in June of 2017.
