In addition to teaching Hatha and Kids Yoga at Aditi, she also leads our bi-monthly sound baths.
Amanda's journey into yoga began during her travels, where she found inspiration in B.K.S. Iyengar's Light on Yoga. Captivated by the 8 Limbs of Yoga, she was drawn to explore a practice grounded in philosophy and spirituality. This quest led her to the Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, India, where she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. In her classes, Amanda integrates mindfulness techniques, mantra, and breathwork to fully immerse students in the present moment.

In 2017, she received her 200 hour RYT through Synergy Yoga School with a focus on Vinyasa flow yoga, yoga philosophy and Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga. Throughout the pandemic, Joey taught virtual and outdoor prenatal yoga. You can expect a more nontraditional approach in Joey's class and a yoga flow that mimics a birth experience. A slow, intentional flow of stretches that builds (early labor) to core engagement, goddess squats (active labor) to build your stamina and strength to prepare for your baby's (or babies’!) birth, followed by savasana (post labor). Joey closes her practice with a celebration for the mamas in class who are in their final weeks of pregnancy.
